![]() ![]() "... to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the nations with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the nations might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:16 |
![]() "Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among the peoples." Psalms 96:3 "Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn." Isaiah 60:18 ![]() Our home has always been a thoroughfare of the nations of the world. Not too long ago we had guests from Russia who we thought would experience the 'southern hospitality' in Houston by staying with friends who were ready to receive them. However they told us, "We'd rather stay with you even if we have to sleep on the floor," it was a gracious compliment. This has been the pattern of our lives. Somehow the world finds their way to us. When we are ready to take it easy, the Lord sends someone from another country to remind us that our assignment is not yet done.Russians, Finns, Bulgarians, Rwandans, Congolese, Filipinos, Papau New Guineans, Koreans, Indians, Cubans, Mexicans, Welsh, Australians, Tongans, New Zealanders, Hawaiians, French, Italians, Thais, Chinese, Indonesians, Canadians just to name a few. We have had a colorful life filled with the privilege of giving hospitality to God's people all over the world.
Recently the call to minister to the leaders of the nations has been intensified. Years ago we were responsible to host the King and Queen of The Island Kingdom of Tonga during their State visit to California. The experience can be a book itself. Then recently we had the privilege to minister to the government leaders of Rwanda and to President Paul Kagame. The other day we received an email from a bishop from Bulgaria with an invitation to come and minister to the President of that country. The Holy Spirit is calling forth the Leaders of the nations, to worship Him to the Lord of lords and King of kings. |
